Zero To Report

So today has been one of those non days, you know the sort, when you begin to wonder why you decided to get out of bed at all. It's not that you've had a particularly bad day, just a highly uneventful one. Still, I'm currently watching Jonathan Creek - which obviously perks up the situation. I am literally in awe of the people who write that show, how do they come up with such intricate yet brilliant story lines? I don't think I've ever been able to guess correctly what the answer to each mystery has been.

And you have to love those curls..

"You Are Wonderful!"

Recently I graduated from uni, whilst the day itself was one of happiness it actually marked quite a sad moment in my life; the realisation that I was no longer a student. No more Topshop student discount, no more late night Kens, no more hangover days with my housemate and worst of all, no more Portsmouth. My three years at uni were most definitely the best three years of my life so far. I hope, of course, that I haven't peaked and that everything else isn't down hill from here on in!

During my graduation ceremony Sheila Hancock (yes you read that right!) made a closing speech. She applauded our achievement and told us that we were all wonderful, how lovely of her! She also went on to tell us that we were better than these celebrities who have zero achievements (apart from posing naked) who swan around the red carpet as if they own it. Why do so many girls out there aspire to be like that? Ok yes it may seem like an easy option..get a boob job (since when was surgery easy?), plaster on the make-up like a drag queen, hit a London club and hunt down a footballer. Easy peasy, you're set for life, sure, you may have lost all respect, but who needs that when you've got diamonds? When I compare myself to these girls it makes me even more proud of my degree, I might not have diamonds and an Aston Martin but I definitely have respect (provided you don't bump into me out on the tiles at the weekend).

P.S That doesn't mean to say that I don't want diamonds and an Aston Martin..a DB9 if you were wondering..

Tea and Donkeys

This week I went to Devon. Residing in a converted barn on a farm in the middle of nowhere I drank tea, went to the beach, took walks and generally did all the things that are deemed to be Devonish. I must admit, I'm not sure if I could live that kind of lifestyle full time but it was nice to get away for a while. On one of the days we went to a donkey sanctuary, they have something like 400 donkeys on this expansive farm, the work they do with the donkeys is really impressive.

The glorious summer seems to have taken a turn for the worse, I knew it wouldn't last the whole season..
